Last Sunday, 47 Figs got together in Shizuoka, Japan to celebrate the car 30th Birthday Anniversary. With the backdrop of Shizuoka, a Japanese prefecture on central Honshu’s Pacific coast and the home to 3,776m-tall Mount Fuji, Japan’s highest peak, our members enjoyed a brilliant day of sharing their love of the car. Due to translating issues, the info was a bit sketchy but we thought you would love to see the pictures from Japanese friends.

We finally managed to celebrate FIGARO’s 30th birthday on 24 October, after an unusual period of time. 47 FIGAROs took part in the birthday party. Each of us brought our own handmade goods to sell at a small event. We also offered free FIGARO parts and some stuff to the birthday party and had fun playing rock-paper-scissors to decide the winner.

The Figaro fleet drove along the coastal road and the people along the way smiled and waved to us. A mechanic from a specialist Figaro shop checked the Figaros of people who wanted them checked. He found several engines with dangerous noises, which could have prevented a catastrophic situation before it happened. As I was helping the mechanic, I didn’t get to take many photos.

We had a great day with endless chats, exchange of tips and tricks, sales of wonderful handmade goods, the march of 47 Figaro fleet along the coastal road, free inspection at Figaro speciality stores, and fighting for parts by rock-paper-scissors.
