Lighting – Rechroming Nissan Figaro Rear Lights Video
If you take a close look at your rear light surrounds, chances are, the shine may have dulled over time and in some cases pealing of the chrome coating may have occurred due to the poor design of allowing water to sit in the recess. No amount of polishing will ever get that ‘new look’ shine back. The lamp assembly is made of plastic and coated during production using a special technique.
Solutions over the years have included applying chrome tape or repainting the assembly white. In fact, many restored Figaros come out like that and owners never know that the parts should have been chrome instead of white!
The Figaro Shop spent over 2 years researching the best refinishing techniques for chromed plastic parts which are technically very difficult to achieve. They claim the finish looks fantastic and has been protected using a hard wearing clear lacquer to give the best long-lasting finish.
Does not come with the rubber gasket or bulb holders so you need to keep the ones you have. These are exchange sets, surcharge refunded once we receive the old units back. (£50 refund per set).
Note: Exchange sets must have lenses without cracks/defects to be eligible for a refund and not painted.
Pricing at £299.99 for the set of 4 it’s very expensive but if you are looking to recreate that ‘as new’ look for your Figaro it may well be worth saving for!
