Trim – Chrome Strip Rubber Seal Replacement

A solution by The Figaro Shop for the common cracked seals/gaskets on either side of the chrome strips that run the length of the Figaro. The self-adhesive seal profile will finish the stainless steel trims back to their former glory.

The current dated seals will have hardened over the years as the oil within the rubber has disappeared causing the seal to harden to a plastic which in turn causes it to crack leaving a sharp and jagged trim. The seal profile will replace this completely with ease, creating a soft seal between the bodywork and the trim ensuring that it will not only look as intended but also stop any damage to the paintwork of the vehicle.

This is a much more expensive solution than the lower cost (£20) of ‘repairing the gap’ using masking tape and applying Tiger Seal with your finger. However, although this does look good when first applied, over time it shrinks and starts to break away meaning a re-application is required. Read more

However, if you are looking to replicate the original look and want the ultimate finish and have a number of areas that require repair it may be worth the investment.
