Club Members Raise £1,149 For Charity
During our Devon Figaro Rally 2024 back in April we held a raffle to raise much-needed money for Macmillan Cancer Support. We are delighted to announce that through the generosity of members, £1,149 was raised. View the confirmation letter.
That’s enough to fund:
- A Macmillan Nurse for 5 days ensuring people don’t have to face their cancer journey alone. Across Devon, we have around 120 Macmillan Professionals, ranging from Nurses to Physios, Dieticians to Support Workers.
- 68 Support line calls from people seeking advice and support on a range of topics from finances to treatment questions. Last year we received 1,977 calls from people in Devon.
- 6 Grants which can help to cover some of the extra costs cancer brings, for example, travel to and from hospital appointments. Last year in Devon we gave out 606 grants, totalling £205,300.
This brings the total raised by our fantastic members since 2010 to £10,850. Read more
