Who fancies a few days in the Ardennes with Figaro friends? Our club has a unique opportunity to do a 4-day rally from 21st to 24th May this year!!!!

Although this is very last minute we didn’t want to have to wait until 2024 for the next overnight Figaro rally so we have got together with Adrie from “Tour des Ardennes” who has been organizing rallies in the area for car enthusiasts several times a year for the past 7 years. Always using the same hotel and tried and trusted vendors he can give us a tailor-made experience enjoying “follow the leader routes “ through Luxembourg and the Mossel area.

Hotel Petry, 15, Rue De la Gare, L-9420, Vianden, Luxembourg.
The location of the hotel in the village of Vianden is the ideal starting point for members who may wish to explore further afield after the rally.

Entry Costs:
The rally will cost will be €570 per car and 2 people (Note: does not include Rally Pack, see below).

The cost includes

  • A full-time guide from Tour Des Aerdennes
  • 3 x Nights with Double room
  • 3 x Continental Breakfast
  • 3 x 3 Course Meal
  • 1 Wine-Tasting Evening

Any hotel drinks and ferries are not included!

Rally Pack/Charity Donation:
As the rally is work in progress and we wanted to launch it asap, we are still hoping to produce a Rally Pack including:

  • Rally Plate
  • Window Stricker
  • Flag
  • T-Shirts
  • Charity Donation*

This will be AN ADDITIONAL COST and offered to everyone at the rally in due course

* Normally the rallies do collections for charity. We thought that we could maybe do a fun blind auction of “Figaro matching Accessories for your life”. Let me explain. There are lots of Figaro coloured things in the shops at the moment. From toothbrushes to cushions to soapdishes and kitchen utensils., everything seems to be available in the figgy colours. We hope to buy a load of low-value items and wrap them, so we could auction them unseen for charity.

Description/Itinerary:

Day one, Sunday 21 May
-12.00 meeting up at Marche-en-Framenne Belgium
-After lunch, we head to the hotel in Vianden, arrive +/- 17.00 Check-in at the hotel
-19:00 3-course meal together in the hotel restaurant or, weather permitting, outside on the terras. After dinner time to socialize at the bar, take a stroll in the village, or use the wellness facilities, swimming pool, and /or sauna in hotel Bellevue.

Day 2, Monday 22 May
– 8.00 Breakfast
– 9.00 Briefing
– 9.30 start of the first driving tour along roads that are perfect for Figaros through Luxembourg with stops on the way for coffee, lunch, and sightseeing
– 19:00 3-course meal together in the hotel restaurant or, weather permitting outside on the terras.
– After dinner an evening of wine tasting.
– The wellness facilities at Hotel Bellevue are at your disposal throughout your stay

Day 3 Tuesday 23 May
– 8.00 Breakfast
– 9.00 Briefing
– 9.30 Today we will be exploring the Moselle River, valley with its vineyards and great vistas. Coffee, lunch stops, and photo opportunities along the way.
– 19:00 3-course meal together in the hotel restaurant or, weather permitting outside on the terras.
– Evening: To be decided. Ideas welcome!!
– The wellness facilities at Hotel Bellevue are at your disposal throughout your stay

Day 4 Wednesday 24 May
– After breakfast head back towards the ferries via some of Luxembourg’s fine scenery. At the lunch stop time to say our goodbyes.

Travel Options:
We recommend travelling via ferry from Dover or the Eurotunnel at Folkestone, this will give you the shortest distance to travel via France to the start of the rally at Marche-en-Framenne.

We have only 18 car slots available and these will be allocated on a first-come, first-served bases. To apply you will need to send an email directly to Dennis Case.

NOTE. APPLICATIONS DO NOT MEAN YOU ARE ON THE RALLY UNTIL YOU RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION EMAIL BACK FROM DENNIS.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
Once your application has been confirmed, you will receive an email directly from Tour Des Aerdennes requesting a deposit of €75. The balance is to be paid a month before the trip.
