Festive Figgy Run – Sunday 11th December 2016

On Sunday 11th December 2016 the inaugural Festive Figgy Fun Run met at the Oaksmere Hotel in Suffolk and saw 13 figgies gathering under blue skies and winter sunshine to pose for photos in the hotel’s impressive grounds before setting off in convoy for the historic town of Lavenham, Suffolk.

After parking in the market place in front of the Guildhall, in places kindly reserved for us by the Parish Council, we adjourned to the Vintage Blue Tearoom for cakes and snacks. Afterwards, there were opportunities for more festive photos as the light faded and the town’s Christmas lights came on, bringing to a close a lovely day with old and new figgy friends.
