Figaro Designer Yoshiro Kobata Reveals Early Concept Drawings

As we joyfully commemorate the 34th birthday of our beloved Nissan Figaro today, we are thrilled to share insights from the brilliant mind behind its enchanting design, Yoshiro Kobata. Recently, Yoshiro unveiled some of his early concept sketches which date back to the 24th of March 1988 and the 19th of August 1988 which beautifully echo the timeless charm of the Figaro we adore today. His vision was to create an extraordinary automobile adorned with intricate details—think exquisite radiator grills and delightful interior switchgear that add character to every ride. This celebration is not just about the car; it’s a moment to honour Yoshiro’s invaluable contributions that resonate deeply within our passionate Figaro community.

To further appreciate Figaro’s heritage, we invite you to explore Adam Woods‘ enlightening interview with Yoshiro from December 2022, in which he shares more about his design journey and Figaro’s development. Read more
