What a 15th year it has been for the club! We’ve had an amazing Devon Rally (we’ll say nothing of those pesky Wombles) followed by event after event the club has taken us to this year—from car shows to airfields, garden centres to vineyards, royal estates to charity fundraisers… and the one thing that shines through is the Figgy magic! It’s not just the cars—it’s the owners—often mad, often fun, and often keen to enjoy life and make lasting memories.

Holding an event in London is a difficult choice, as the impact of ULEZ has made owning a Figaro even more difficult. But getting people together and supporting Figaro Owners Club members who wanted to do something on their patch was a request we couldn’t refuse. And with the club having had such a long relationship with the iconic Ace Cafe, it was a great opportunity to support the Ace, too!
We wanted to do something different and something that we hoped members would enjoy—Halloween! We came up with some prize-winning categories, reached out to club supplier partners, and started letting people know.
Chatting to Mark Wilsmore, who brought Ace Cafe back all those years ago, we knew that members would love to hear him speak – so we asked and he agreed. Autolink, Classicline and The Figaro Shop all agreed to sponsor the prize categories, with the founder of TFS, Tobyn agreeing to do a Q&A.
And so to the day itself – would everyone make it, and how readily would members jump on board with the Halloween theme? Like we needed to ask. Wow – the efforts Figgy Folk went to – the Ace Cafe saw Figs in a kaleidoscope of colours, and decorations to die for! With over 60 people in attendance, the event buzzed with Halloween fun!
THE WINNERS
And there were winners galore…
- Anne for Furthest Travelled
- Helen for Shortest Travelled
- Janet for Longest Membership
- Amy for Newest Member
- Both Quirky/Fun Item and Spookiest Fig were also won by Helen, making it a well-deserved hat trick!
The group photos were brilliant, with Kevin taking an aerial photo, members beeping their horns in the biggest Beep Beep we have ever seen, and a brilliant group photo of everyone together at the very end!
And talking of Kevin, he and Sue were their usual generous, kind selves, and it was only right to thank them and celebrate 15 years of Figaro Owners Club with cake and cheers.
What an amazing, fun and memorable way to celebrate Halloween and a fantastic year of events with the Figaro Owners Club!
