Door Card – How to remove this to access the window and speakers

There are a number of reasons you may need to get into the inner door workings. Typically these can be to lubricate the lock mechanism, replace speakers or find the 4/5 digit lock number.
REMOVAL
1. Wind down the window as it is easier to remove and reinstall with the window down.
2. Remove 3 cream trim clip screws down inside edge.
3. Remove 4 cream trim clip screws along the bottom.
4. Unscrew the chrome door lock knob.
5. Remove the screw holding the chrome plastic door pull surround.
6. Using a small flat-bladed screwdriver carefully remove the 2 plastic covers in the side of the armrest and remove the screws inside behind them.
7. Remove the plastic cover in the top of the arm\pull recess and remove the screw underneath.
8. Remove the windows switch panel using a flat screwdriver or trim tool.
9. Unplug the connector by squeezing down on the locking clip and pulling it out.
10. The panel can now be removed from the door by carefully pulling the panel away from the door and using a large flat-bladed screwdriver or trim tool to release the trim clips around the outer edge behind it.
11. Pull the bottom away from the door and lift the panel up over the door pull and lift up out of the window recess.
HOT TIPS!
Be careful not to break the cream trim clips on the outer edge as they are quite expensive now, still available from Nissan PN: 8099937B00.
Check for any holes in the polythene and repair with Gafa Tape. If the polythene is missing then buy a sheet of thick polythene and cut it to size and tape it on with duct tape. This will help with water getting through and noise.
REFITTING
1. Re-assembly in reverse order, make sure the white clips are in the door and not the panel and that they are not damaged, if they are they can be replaced with a similar size universal clip.
2. It’s easier with the window is down and locate the top door panel so it clips goes into the window grove at a 25-degree angle and then swing the bottom down level, you have to push it over the white handle as you do it.
