Painting – How to restore the inside of the Fuel Cap
Anyone following me on our YouTube Channel will be familiar with my past efforts to paint the areas of the engine bay and inside and around the rear boot gutter. I am the sort of person with OCD for cleanliness and finish and it was only a matter of time before the inside of the car’s fuel cap came under scrutiny.
Every time I would fill up the car I would be looking at a tired and dirty area which I know in time I would have to deal with. It is not worth spending money on having it painted at a paint shop, even I would draw the line at that! But when I found I still had the touch paint that I used on the engine and lower boot the temptation was too much as there was going to be no cost (all so I thought at the time).
The process is reflectively straightforward and doesn’t require any real skills. My only issue awes that when I actually inspected the area inside the cap I noticed that it only had one rubber stopper and not two. I ordered a pack of two (I have a spare now) from The Figaro Shop Click here
