Jaymes Gardiner – Why I love my Figaro?

When I was little, I always loved cars. I always liked the more quirky-looking cars like the Nissan Cube, but the main one I loved was, of course, the Figaro. My love for the car grew more when it appeared in the spin-off of my favourite show, Doctor Who, in the form of The Sarah Jane Adventures, which started in 2007—it was then that I decided that one day I’ll have a Figaro!

Jumping forward to 2024, I decided that I was gonna go for it and get a Figaro and get rid of my Audi TT Mrk 2, most people would say that’s a car drop but the Figaro was my dream car so in my eyes it was a step up! My partner and I found one in Coventry, which was perfect, but it meant going all the way from Poole (in the far South) up the country by train up North to get this car. There were a few things here and there that were off about the car mainly being we couldn’t get in the lower boot but we decided to take it and drive back, and she drove very very well so we knew we got a good one!

So now I have my dream car, I treat her as my prized possession as she is! I’ve Doctor Whoified her along with dedicating her to the late great Elizabeth Sladen who played Sarah Jane Smith by naming the car Liz! I take her to car shows and meet when possible and show off all the adventures Me and Liz go through on my dedicated Instagram: liz_the_nissan_figaro

People just seem to love her, the number of times people ask me things as I’m getting out of the car is so charming! Hope to keep Liz as long as possible as I love her a lot and makes me feel proud that I managed to get my dream car at last !!
