Door Chrome Window Rubber Edging Replacement Video

As our Figaros gracefully age into their mid-30s, certain areas, particularly the rubber edging, can show signs of wear. The degradation of rubber and the drying out of the original glue can lead to unsightly detachment, often resulting in repairs that don’t always look great. For those of us striving for perfection, the best solution is to remove the old edging entirely and replace it with new material.

Join Kevin as he works on his Figaro, affectionately named Belle, guiding you through each step of the process. The video begins with Kevin pulling away the window seal, granting access to the stainless-steel trim securing screws. Once these screws are removed, he takes the trim into his workshop to remove any scratches with a metal polishing kit, ensuring that every detail is attended to. After polishing, Kevin reattaches the trim to the car, inserts the new rubber edging, and secures everything back in place, resulting in a flawless finish.

If your Figaro needs this upgrade, we encourage you to watch the video and follow along with Kevin’s clear and detailed instructions. This is an excellent opportunity to not only learn how to tackle this task yourself but also achieve professional results that enhance the beauty of your Figaro.
