Roof – Seal replacement

The Nissan Figaro’s iconic folding roof is covered in a hard-wearing, foldable and weather-resistant ivory-coloured vinyl trimming. This trimming is bonded to the structural front and rear roof bows that form the structure of the roof mechanism. To become weather resistant with the folding roof closed, a very complex roof seal is used that fits all around the roof aperture, past the rear window frame and around the upper boot lid. This illusive roof seal, which was discontinued by Nissan a very long time ago, has only been used and would fetch quite a premium due to their scarcity. These used seals would require in-depth cleaning and repair to form a weather-resistant seal for the folding roof of the Nissan Figaro.

The Figaro Shop are now able to supply newly manufactured roof seals. These new seals are a direct copy of the original but manufactured using modern tooling and manufacturing techniques offering unparalleled reliability and the ease of fitment you would expect from a brand new component. The seal is supple and conforms to all the original fixing points and body lines so you can rest assured that once fitted, you will achieve a factory-like finish. Simple to fit with the use of your preferred polyurethane adhesive (we recommend the use of tiger seal).

How to fit
Remove the original seal, clean all areas of the roof gulley (where the seal is to be fitted) and ensure all old glue residues are removed and free of Silicones, bond and fit. Keep light pressure on the seal for 24 hours until the adhesive sets in the correct shape and you will have a perfect seal.
