Silverstone Festival – Friday 25/ Sunday 27th August 2023

Spurred on by its ever-increasing popularity, the ‘Silverstone Festival’ marked a new era for the venue’s much-loved event with a new name and fresh look for 2023.

Over the three days, we had 11 cars attend. Sue and I only managed to go on the Friday and arrived a bit late but we were happy to be met with 8 cars already parked up and looking great. This year they parked us in the car parks on the tarmac which, to be honest, was not as nice a position as we have had in the past. I always like to be parked on the grass, it just feels much nicer but the event has grown so much over the past years I guess it’s a bit of a lottery where they put you. Having said that, our location was central and we did get a number of interested public asking the usual questions.

This was the first outing for our new club brochure and the feedback was really encouraging. In the evening we enjoyed music from the Christians and ABC. Thanks to our members who had to suffer some serious rain showers on Saturday. The cars really did look fantastic.
