ULEZ – Expansions kills London Figaro ownership
Today, Tuesday the 29th of August 2023, the cost of driving a Figaro in London has skyrocketed from zero to £12.50 per day or £4,562 a year- making it too costly for many owners. This has resulted in a noticeable drop in club membership, from 112 a year ago to just 20 today. Unfortunately, this could have been avoided had Nissan UK or Nissan Japan not neglected our request for help to achieve Euro 4 emissions compliance. It’s frustrating to consider that the club and its members have invested so much in these cars to promote the Nissan brand, yet they have been met with silence in return.
It is incredibly disheartening to learn that Nissan has refused to offer any assistance in resolving our issue. To make matters worse, they have stated the strange reasoning that the Figaro was never meant to be exported outside of Japan. We feel betrayed by Nissan’s lack of concern and understanding of our member’s situation, and the fact that they are not willing to help us find a solution is incredibly frustrating and annoying. We had hoped that Nissan would be understanding of our plight and would be willing to provide us with some sort of assistance, but it appears that our hopes have been dashed.
